As a CURIO College Counselor, you will be working with 20-30 Chinese high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. You will help them better understand the overseas university application process while also helping them manage the particulars of the application process.. You will achieve this with 1-on-1 meetings with your students.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Meeting Responsibilities include:
- Guiding students through extracurricular selection, course selection, and test prep timing
- Working with students on university research and building a balanced application list
- Personal Statement and Supplementary Essays: Brainstorming, editing, and proofreading
- Managing student application timelines and planning application strategies
Additional responsibilities include:
- Participation in company events and student training camps, such as essay workshops, lectures, and other projects that facilitate our students’ learning
- Spearhead initiatives to improve our service and improvement to our ecosystem
REQUIREMENTS
We would you to be/have:
- 3+ years experience either as a college counselor or as an admissions officer (preferred)
- Graduated from a top US/UK university
- Proven success in sending students to top universities
- Fluency in English, Chinese Fluency an asset
- Located in Shanghai or open to relocating to Shanghai
- Enthusiastic about education and personal development
