Global Labour Leaders Seal 31 Agreements To Boost Jobs, Training Opportunities

The Global Labor Market Conference (GLMC), has seen the signing of 31 arrangements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) in between different entities, intending to offer thousands of training opportunities and tasks for the global labor force. This agreement was signed at the second edition of the GLMC 2025, launched in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by His Excellency Engineer Ahmad Bin Salman Alrajhi, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, along with 40 labour ministers. According to the ministers, these efforts will focus on certifying varied groups, such as new graduates, women, and individuals with impairments, for ideal work through specialised training programmes, including advancement, academic initiatives, leadership preparation, and knowledge-sharing collaborations
Data from the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), around 67 million young people are currently jobless, and almost 20 percent of individuals aged 15 to 54 are either employed or engaged in education, institutions, or training programs. These data have also shown that almost 40 percent of companies report troubles in filling vacancies due to an inequality between workforce abilities and labour market needs, with youth unemployment surpassing 30 percent in some areas worldwide. Related News

Highlighting the significance of these agreements, Alrajhi stated “These figures highlight the immediate need to establish extensive methods to resolve these typical difficulties successfully.” “Transforming them into opportunities, ultimately we can all interact to guarantee the prosperity of our economies, neighborhoods, and workforces.” The minister also kept in mind that the arrangements concentrate on boosting functional efficiency, promoting development, and driving worth production in positioning with Saudi Vision 2030. Key entities included in these arrangements include the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (HRSD), the International Labour Organization (ILO), referall.us Takamol Holding, INSEAD, UiPath, Bella Vista Institute of College, the Saudi Logistics Academy, the Ministry of Tourism, and Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University.
The GLMC’s MOU will see several noteworthy cooperations emerged. INSEAD will supply academic services, while collaborations with Space Faculty and ProFun will explore development and knowledge sharing. Bella Vista Institute and the Saudi Logistics Academy will deliver tailored training programmes concentrated on leadership advancement and capacity structure. The Ministry of Tourism inked MoUs with Marriott Hotels and Arabian Airports to establish workforce qualifications and training efforts. Princess Nourah University partnered with SEA Ventures to promote entrepreneurship advancement.
