This document discusses how an individual can claim JSP online, or with assistance from a Service Officer using Assisted Customer Claim (ACC).

JSP eligibility and when to declare

Customers should claim as soon as possible online by means of the Services Australia site.

To certify for JSP an individual should:

– be of certifying age for JSP
– fulfill Australian residence requirements for JSP
– be out of work, and
– looking for work and ready to participate in activities that increase their possibilities of finding a task, or
– unable to work, study or look for work due to medical condition, disease or injury, or
– employed or studying full-time and are unable to undertake these due to a medical condition, health problem or injury and work or research study to go back to

Disability Support Payment (DSP) sus/can RTW clients claiming JSP

A DSP customer whose payments have been suspended/ cancelled go back to work (RTW) can claim an alternate payment when:

– they are still working 30 or more hours each week, and
– their income falls listed below the JSP earnings test cut-off

Early declares for JSP

Online claims

Customers must produce a myGov account and link their Centrelink online account to it.

Once the consumer has connected their Centrelink online account to myGov, to begin an online claim for JSP they need to:

– indication in to myGov and access their linked Centrelink online account

Assisted Customer Claims (ACC)

RapidConnect

Most job seekers go through RapidConnect and are advised of their requirements or an exemption to RapidConnect throughout their Participation Interview at the Jobseeker Online Claim Appointment.

Job applicants who are qualified for employment a referral to a Labor force Australia or other specialist company, will have an initial visit booked throughout the Participation Interview. Attending this first supplier consultation is referred to as the task hunter’s RapidConnect requirement.
