RESPONSBLITIES
- Provide on-the-job support to the Vendor Management team
- Proactively recruit new resources to expand the company’s database of external linguists
- Test recruited linguists according to specialized skill sets and the company’s testing process
- Negotiate preferred rates with recruited linguists according to company, department or project needs
- Promote newly recruited and tested linguists to the appropriate production teams
- Assist production and sales teams on a daily basis with vendor-related issues and questions
- Establish and maintain excellent relationships with contract translators, proofreaders, production staff and internal Quality Managers globally
- Strategize with direct manager to find a viable means of making processes more efficient
- Attend trade shows and conferences as needed
- Proactively seek additional tasks and duties to benefit TransPerfect Translations as a whole
- Research and understand all industries that TransPerfect Translations markets to, including industry leaders, current events and any other pertinent data
- Be knowledgeable in the translation industry, including leaders, competitive data, proposal formats, competitive rates, and marketing strategies
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent written and verbal English and Mandarin communication skills
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- High sense of urgency
- Experience in negotiating and persuasion
- Customer service experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Effective time management
- Proactive attitude
